The atmosphere could be a little better but it is kind of a hole in the wall place. There food is great though, and we would eat here more if I'd think about it. I wish the sign was more noticeable from the road.

Went here with my 10 year old. He got the chicken fingers slathered in BBQ and home made chips. He really enjoyed it. The chips are very good. I got the Carolina Burger (forget what they call it) - chili, cole slaw, mustard and onions with no bun and sweet potato fries. Wish they had gluten free buns but that's okay. The burger was cooked properly and tasted fantastic. Whenever we go here, it always seems like the wait staff is in a BIG rush. Probably a sign of understaffing but, they are hustlers. The restaurant decor is very plain. If I was the woner (easy to spend other people's money), I would upgrade the flooring, tables, chairs and booths. Lake Wylie area is booming and restauraters need to be ready!

I had a reuben sandwich with fries and it was outstanding. It was very good food, which is not always the case in a bar setting. We also had the wings which were also very good. The staff was great and the beer was cold. If you are in Matthews, I highly recommend this place.

This was my first trip to this Lake Wylie bar and grill and I was pretty impressed. The decor is dated and the floors could've been cleaner, but the waitstaff was super friendly and our food was quite tasty! As some of the other reviews mentioned, my husband said he too had experienced long wait times for food in the past and ordered us a basket of homemade potato chips in the event we had a long wait. Luckily we did not, but the chips were pretty tasty and nicely cooked and served with little cups of ranch. Our meal came quickly and was nice and hot. We both got burgers and they must only make them with no pink because they didn't ask us how we wanted them cooked. They were juicy and flavorful and very big. Mine was the Christopher burger which came with grilled onions and bacon and I asked for cheese to be added. I ordered sweet potato fries for an additional $.99 and they were freshly cooked, but sadly nothing great about them. My husband ordered a burger as well and added tater tots to.his and they were nice and crispy though lacking salt. I woukd go back again based on this visit. I enjoyed it...for $25 for an app and two full meals at a local spot...sold!

This is a nice place to grab lunch - the service was a little slow but the menu is robust and everything we ordered came out as expected. They make their own potato chips and they were perfect! Sweet tea was on the mark - not too bland and not too sweet. We picked the place because of the name - and will be back!

Nice locals bar restaurant. Very extensive menu of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and apps. The food is good, about what you'd expect from a good sandwich/bar. TVs located all around. Good, friendly service. Late night dining. Prices are very reasonable.

Excellent burgers! My only complaint about this place is its hot. They need a stronger air conditioner. Service is always good

Nothing great about it. Your reason for stopping in might be to avoid driving further to some place else? Prices are right in line with other places that look much better and have more to offer. Old and outdated and I think they have some cheap cable service, definetely not hd tv's unless something changed since I went last. It might be a locals place and they like it like that who knows. Food is much like other places, it is good and all but why choose this place over another is where I am going with it. Most places today can run a deep fryer and flip a burger. Yes you do wait long.

We also, think that Christopher's changed. Their sandwiches and reubens used to be among the best around; now portions have grown considerably smaller. Stopped going in there. Just don't feel like we're getting our monies worth anymore. Last time we were in there, we saw some new faces. Service wasn't what we were accustomed to. A shame...

Excellent! Our family of 5 (2 parents, 3 teenagers) just had a delicious lunch at Christopher's. 3 of us shared chicken wings with a wide variety of sauces, while one son had a bacon wrapped burger and daughter had the tilapia special with 2 sides and dessert. While the teriyaki sauce was way to salty, and the burger a little greasy, the overall experience was great.

We used to frequent Christopher's often, something has changed and for the worse. Food quality and portions have become small and poor quality. Service was less than average, food was brought out all at the same time appetizers , salad, and entree. Over priced for portion and quality. We are done going to Christopher's . Lake Wylie has other places to bring your family to eat.

We frequent Christophers fairly regularly, and we're never disappointed. My one gripe--there's just one, so I'll get it out of the way--is that it takes a long time to get your food. But, once you get it, it's yummy. I've never had their burgers, but have heard good things about them. For some reason, I usually order something chicken-y. I especially like the chicken alfredo. Their chicken is always very nicely cooked and very juicy. Large portions too. Great local hang-out!

I really like this place. First off kids under 3 eat FREE!!! That gets me everytime. I ordered the prime rib with spicy onion strings. It was cooked a perfect medium. The only problem was there a bunch of fat on my prime rib. It came with au jus and horseradish sauce. The drink prices are really cheap if you go with spirits. The only draw back are the tv's. they have 3 in the dining area and they are not high definition. It's hard to watch a game when only half of the screen is cut because its not in hd. It's only a minor draw back to this place. Service was good and didn't bombard me every 2 minutes. I will keep coming back for the food. Good job

Walked in and back out. There were only a coyote 2 person tables open and they weren't cleaned. We were told to sit wherever but there was nothing. Not impressed!

Went with a group of friends for dinner on the night of their car show. It was busy and most of the tables were full. We put in our order and it took a good bit of time for the food to come out but the food was very good. Most had the wing specials and I had the French dip. The order came out correct. Our server did not ring up the orders with the specials pricing for the night so we had to wait a long time for the checks to get paid. My biggest service problem is that they have chairs set up right outside the door for the smokers. You have to walk through and hold your breath just to get in. Also you can't site outside when it's nice because that is basically the smoking section now.

This place is a little off the beaten path, & I'm not sure how my parents found it. But once you do get a taste then you'll be back again. It's located in Lake Wylie, off Hwy 49, so if you're heading to/back from the lake from Charlotte then it's a good place to check out. I've only ever had a burger here & for very good reason. Is there a reason you only get the spicy chicken from Wendy's? Yes, because it's so good you don't want to try anything else on the menu because you know there's no way it can match your beloved favorite. The burgers here are freshly made & they have all different kinds you can choose from. They have one with slaw & chili...oh wow...They really have some good burgers that you'll crave every time you think beef. And even if you're not a burger person, they have a pretty extensive menu with choices for all types of eaters. Christopher's has a nice patio area as well, & it's off the main road so you don't hear the onslaught of traffic passing by. The inside has a pretty big bar area, along with your family dining area. All types of people crowd this place on busy nights, from your bikers at the bar, to your families with kids in the seating area. Check this place out if you're in the area or heading to the lake for the day. The burgers won't disappoint & it's a nice little place that isn't too popular yet, so you'll feel like you've discovered something intriguing.
